Celebrating Women for Women's History Month

It’s March! A month that the season of Spring comes, which signifies growth and warmer activity. It’s also the month that celebrates Women’s History. As EmpowerHer Ventures is woman-owned, and that the idea is to empower women, it should not surprise you that I am honoring this blog to great women – past and present. We may not all agree as to who is deemed “great” for varying reasons; however, let’s put our differences aside and focus on the fact that we as women collectively have amazing talents. In a world where women’s rights are constantly being questioned, let’s collaborate in honoring the women in your life.

This month, you’ll see on the blog interviews with talented women who are killing it in their business or career. Many of these women are my friends and have graciously agreed to be interviewed to celebrate their success and journey. To kick off this month’s blog though I’m going to delve into some of the great women that have paved the path in business as well as women who inspire me.
Let’s dive in – in no specific order as these women are from all walks a life and different business arenas.
Ruth Handler
Ruth Handler's inclusion in the list of top women in business comes as no shock, given her role as the co-founder of Mattel. This American businesswoman and inventor left an indelible mark with her most famous creation, Barbie. Estee Lauder, another prominent American businesswoman, co-founded her eponymous cosmetic company alongside her husband.
