Affirmations: The Power of Retraining Your Mind

Sometimes, the biggest challenge we face isn't external—it's internal. It’s the way we think, the stories we tell ourselves, and the beliefs we hold onto. But what if you could retrain your mind to think better and bigger? What if, by simply telling your mind what you want to believe, you could transform your reality? This idea is at the heart of affirmations, a practice that has been life-changing for me and countless others.

Recently, I've been reading The Power of the Subconscious Mind by Dr. Joseph Murphy. The book delves into how our subconscious mind is a powerful force that can shape our lives, often in ways we don't even realize. According to Dr. Murphy, to harness this power, you have to be intentional about what you feed into your mind. You have to tell your mind what you want to believe, what you want to achieve, and who you want to become.

For some, this might be a minor redirection—a subtle shift in thinking. For others, it may be a lengthier process, especially if you're working to overcome deeply ingrained negative beliefs. But regardless of where you start, the process is transformative. And I can attest to this because I’ve been doing it for years.

In fact, as I reflect back, I realize that I started using affirmations as a kid without even knowing it. I had a recurring nightmare that I just couldn't shake. One day, I decided I didn't want to have it anymore, so I told myself, "Don't dream that." And just like that, the nightmare stopped. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was training my mind to create the reality I wanted. Since then, I’ve applied this technique to various aspects of my life, including my business goals.

Affirmations have become a powerful tool for me. They're not just positive phrases; they're statements of intention that help redirect my thoughts and focus my mind on what I want to achieve. Here are a few affirmations that I use regularly, and I encourage you to try them out:

  • I am healthy, I am wealthy, I am divine.

  • I am hot, I am rich, I am so fine.

  • Everything comes to me in perfect time, as the universe and I are so aligned.

  • I am strong, I am full of love, I am able, I am wealthy.

  • I am confident, I am powerful, I am unstoppable.

  • I attract success and abundance into my life effortlessly.

  • I am grateful for all the blessings in my life.

  • I am constantly growing, learning, and evolving.

These affirmations are more than just words—they're a way to communicate with your subconscious mind, to guide it towards the beliefs and outcomes you desire. By consistently repeating them, you start to internalize these messages, and over time, they shape your reality.

Remember, changing how you think doesn't happen overnight. It’s a journey, and every small step counts. Whether you’re looking to improve your health, grow your wealth, or achieve a personal goal, affirmations can be the key to unlocking your potential. Start telling your mind what you want to believe and watch how your life begins to change.
